Best Marketing Agencies for Dentists (2026)

By · Published · Last updated

The best dental marketing agency for most private practices is Delmain: dental-only, a 2026 Google Premier Partner, and the only one here publishing a complete line-item rate card — SEO from $575/month, paid-media management from $650/month. Practice Cafe is a close second with an equally open card at $895/month for SEO and month-to-month terms. Pain-Free Dental Marketing publishes $1,300/month for its entry tier. That is a real change since this list was first published: dental marketing used to be a "quoted after a call" category and three agencies have now broken ranks. Everyone here was re-verified against their live site in September 2026.

Full disclosure

No agency paid for placement on this list, and there are no affiliate links or referral fees on this page. Karbon Agency publishes this list and appears on it; we are placed by the same score as everyone else, and on several of our lists that means we are not first.

The list

1.

Delmain

87/100

Best for: practices that want dental-only specialists and a rate card they can budget against before the first call

Strengths

  • A complete published rate card: SEO $575 / $1,100 / $1,500 per month, paid-media management $650–$975 depending on ad spend (10% of spend above $9,750/mo), social $725/mo, custom website $6,500
  • Dental-only since 2009 with a confirmed 2026 Google Premier Partner badge and roughly 40 team members
  • Publishes its own benchmark research — a 47-practice Meta ads study and a 142-practice ROI study — rather than only testimonials

Considerations

  • Its "no setup fees or annual contracts" headline is qualified on the pricing page: "If you wish to add any new services (Paid Media Ads/SEO), we do require a 6-month commitment", after which the retainer goes month-to-month with 30 days' notice, and a setup fee applies to partners who don't buy a new website
  • Its own pages disagree on scale — 200+ practices on the homepage versus more than 500 on the about page, and 39 versus 40 team members

Pricing: Published in full: SEO $575–$1,500/mo · paid-media management $650–$975/mo · social $725/mo · website $6,500 · Lock-in: 6-month commitment on new SEO/paid media, then month-to-month with 30 days' notice

Best for: practices that want to buy services à la carte, month-to-month, with print and digital from one dental-only shop

Strengths

  • A published à-la-carte card: SEO $895/mo, PPC management from $395/mo, paid social from $295/mo, reputation management $295/mo per location, 6-page website $3,980
  • "All of our dental digital marketing services are month-to-month", plus interest-free payment plans on websites
  • Dental-only since 2005 with a real print and direct-mail arm — mailers, postcards and quarterly programs — alongside Facebook ads and PPC

Considerations

  • The free-website offers do carry terms: a free 6-page site requires a 6-month SEO contract and a free 12-page site a 12-month one
  • Publishes no client count, retention rate or team size — positions itself explicitly mid-market, "not the cheapest option and not the most expensive either"

Pricing: Published in full: SEO $895/mo · PPC from $395/mo · paid social from $295/mo · 6-page website $3,980 · Lock-in: Month-to-month on services; free-website offers require a 6- or 12-month SEO term

Best for: private practices that want an outsourced marketing department with a named monthly price

Strengths

  • Publishes two real tiers: Pain-Free Essentials at $1,300/month, and the CMO tier "Starting at $3,000 Per Month + Advertising Spend"
  • Outsourced-marketing-department model — one dental-only team across SEO, ads, websites, social, photo/video and print
  • Publishes a budget framework from its own client data: "Generally, we suggest setting aside 3-6% of your collections for marketing", and states "what we build for you, stays with you"

Considerations

  • The month-to-month claim needs a caveat: the Essentials page states "Six months to start, then month-to-month", while the CMO tier says "No contracts"
  • The entry tier excludes paid advertising, video and social — those live in the $3,000+ CMO tier — and the site publishes no client count, founding year or retention rate

Pricing: Published: Essentials $1,300/mo; CMO tier from $3,000/mo + ad spend · Lock-in: Essentials: six months to start, then month-to-month. CMO tier: no contracts

Best for: practices wanting dental-only strategy with CMO-level guidance and in-house execution

Strengths

  • "Dental marketing is what we do. And it's ALL we do" — two decades in business and over 2,000 dental clients, with a Google Partner badge
  • Publishes a tiered budget framework: 7–9% of collections for explosive growth, 4–6% for strong steady growth, 2–3% simply to replace attrition
  • Call tracking and ROI software, SMARTleads and a Dental CMO service alongside the usual website, SEO, PPC and social

Considerations

  • Retainer pricing is not published — only the budget framework is, and two pages on its own site frame that framework differently (2–9% tiered on one, 2–7% / 5–10% on another)
  • No team size or retention figures published

Pricing: Retainers not published; publishes a 2–9%-of-collections budget framework · Lock-in: Not published

Best for: practices that mainly need a proven dental website platform and want to be free to leave at any time

Strengths

  • The most explicit no-lock-in language in dental: "We don't require a contract because we believe in earning your loyalty" and "You can leave whenever you want"
  • Dental-only since 2007 with 900+ practices, a published 92% retention rate, 35 employees and repeat Townie Choice Awards from Dentaltown
  • Website tiers from pre-designed to fully custom, with SEO, paid search, direct mail and marketing coaching around them

Considerations

  • Platform-first: marketing services are add-ons around the website product, and Meta/Facebook ads are not listed as a service
  • Pricing is not published, and its own pages give two different client counts (900+ on the homepage, over 800 on the about page)

Pricing: Pricing not published — quoted after a call · Lock-in: No long-term contracts — "leave whenever you want"

6.

Patient NEWS

63/100

Best for: practices in mature markets where a neighborhood mailer still outperforms another digital campaign

Strengths

  • The longest tenure in dental marketing: founded 1993 and "TRUSTED BY 9,000 DENTISTS OVER 30 YEARS", with 100,000+ custom campaigns and a Google Partner badge
  • Explicitly dental-only: "We work with dentists and DSOs, and no one else"
  • The strongest direct-mail capability here — neighborhood and patient newsletters paired with digital, call tracking, call scoring and a performance dashboard

Considerations

  • Meta and Facebook ads are not named in its service list, so paid social has to be confirmed directly
  • No pricing, contract term or retention rate is published, and its "40% more new patients than the industry average" claim is not tied to a named benchmark

Pricing: Pricing not published — quoted after a call · Lock-in: Not published

7.

Karbon Agency

60/100That’s us — see disclosure above

Best for: practices that want local patient-acquisition ads with AI reporting tying spend to booked appointments

Strengths

  • AI-driven reporting — a live dashboard shows what every ad dollar did, down to the lead
  • No long-term lock-in: month-to-month
  • Published pricing: marketing from $1,500/month plus ad spend, so you know the cost before the first call

Considerations

  • Small, newer team — we don't have a decade-deep case-study library yet
  • Not dental-exclusive, and no practice-management-system integration — the dental-only shops above tie marketing to production data in a way we do not

Pricing: Published at karbonagency.com/pricing: marketing (Meta ads + a free landing page) from $1,500/month plus ad spend; other services priced separately · Lock-in: No long-term lock-in — month-to-month

Best for: practices that want brand-led marketing with custom photo and video, and attribution back to collections

Strengths

  • Creative-led: branding, design, funnels, custom photo and video, and a dental video influencer offering
  • Practice-management integration gives "closed-loop attribution that ties your marketing directly to collected revenue" — production data, not call counts
  • Dental-only, founded 2013, 57 staff in a single San Diego office

Considerations

  • The thinnest published proof of the dental-only agencies here — no client count, retention rate or partner badge appears on its site
  • Neither pricing nor contract terms are published

Pricing: Pricing not published — quoted after a call · Lock-in: Not published

Best for: practices that want clinical fluency in the room and an AI receptionist answering the phone

Strengths

  • Founded by a dentist — Dr. Anissa Broussard, DMD, who spent more than 20 years chairside before building the agency
  • Publishes 97% client retention, 80% of clients ranking #1 or #2 on Google Maps, and 5,000+ dental practices trained
  • AI SEO for dental practices plus "Emma", an AI receptionist, alongside video production, paid ads and local SEO

Considerations

  • The smallest published footprint here — four named team members, no founding year, no partner badge
  • Neither pricing nor contract terms are published

Pricing: Pricing not published — quoted after a call · Lock-in: Not published

10.

Firegang

56/100

Best for: growth-focused practices and emerging DSOs wanting an integrated program, especially implants

Strengths

  • "Practice 360" is an integrated program rather than à-la-carte tactics, with a dedicated multi-location and emerging-DSO track
  • Unusually complete channel coverage for dental: websites, PPC, SEO, Facebook ads, reviews, call coaching, video and dental implant marketing
  • Has added Dental AI Search Optimization as a named service

Considerations

  • Publishes no firmographic data at all — no founding year, client count, team size or retention rate anywhere, including its about page
  • Neither pricing nor contract terms are published; the only numbers on the site are outcome claims

Pricing: Pricing not published — quoted after a call · Lock-in: Not published

11.

ProSites

55/100

Best for: practices that want the largest, most-endorsed vendor and a patient-communications stack in the same subscription

Strengths

  • By far the biggest published footprint: 20+ years, 7,500+ practices, a 7-time Townie Choice Award winner, endorsed by 16+ state dental associations, 4.8/5 from 500+ reviews
  • Marketing plus a patient-comms product line — AI chat, online booking, bill pay, forms, insurance verification and a dental phone system
  • Covers Google Search Ads, Local Services Ads, social media ads and video alongside SEO

Considerations

  • Not dental-only: sister brands serve veterinary, legal and financial verticals
  • Its pricing page names four plans with no dollar figures at all, and no contract term is published

How we ranked these

Every agency is scored out of 100 across five weighted dimensions. The weights are fixed across every list on this site, so a 78 here means the same thing as a 78 on any other niche.

  1. Niche specialization30 points

How much of the agency's actual business is this one industry. A shop that works only in this niche scores full marks; a generalist that lists it among twenty verticals scores about half.

  2. Pricing transparency20 points

Does it publish what it charges on its own website. Full marks for real numbers you can read before a sales call, partial for a published budget framework or starting-at figure, zero for "contact us".

  3. Proof and reviews20 points

Verifiable evidence on its own site: years in business, client counts, named case studies, third-party review counts, Google/Meta partner badges. Unsourced hype counts for nothing.

  4. Service fit20 points

Whether the service mix matches what this industry actually needs to get customers, rather than what is easiest to sell.

  5. Contract flexibility10 points

Month-to-month terms and client ownership of the website, ad accounts and data score highest; undisclosed or multi-year terms score lowest.

Every agency here was checked against its own live website. Pricing, contract terms, client counts and review counts are only stated where the agency publishes them — everything else is recorded as "not published" rather than guessed at. Scores are ours, they are subjective, and the rubric above is published so you can disagree with them.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose a dental marketing agency?

Filter on three things. Asset ownership: Delmain, Pain-Free and Great Dental Websites all state that you keep your site and accounts — always ask. Attribution: the best dental agencies (Wonderist, Golden Proportions, Delmain) tie marketing to practice-management-system production data, not call counts. And fit: an implant-heavy practice suits Firegang's funnel focus, a brand-building startup practice suits Wonderist, a practice that mainly needs a strong web presence suits Great Dental Websites or ProSites, and a mature market may still be won with Patient NEWS mailers.

What should a dental practice pay for marketing?

Three agencies now publish real figures. Delmain's SEO runs $575–$1,500/month with paid-media management at $650–$975 depending on spend; Practice Cafe charges $895/month for SEO and from $395/month for PPC management; Pain-Free Dental Marketing is $1,300/month for Essentials and from $3,000/month for its CMO tier. As a percentage, Golden Proportions suggests 7–9% of collections for explosive growth, 4–6% for steady growth and 2–3% to replace attrition; Pain-Free suggests 3–6%. On a $1M-collections practice that is roughly $2,500–$7,500/month all-in including ad spend.

What does a dental patient actually cost to acquire on Google Ads?

It varies about 28-fold by service line. Delmain's rolling 120-day Google Ads benchmark (June 2026) puts branded search at $7.64 per lead at a 29.9% conversion rate, general dentistry at $50.60, emergency at $77.62, dentures at $87.01, implants at $107.63, cosmetic at $119.62 and Invisalign at $212.63. Their own caveat is the important one: a lead is a tracked call or form, not a booked patient. Treat these as Delmain client-account data rather than industry-wide research.

Do Meta ads work for dental practices?

The published data says yes, at small budgets. Delmain's August 2026 study of 47 dental practices (July 2025 – July 2026) reports about $58 per qualified lead — best around $30 — against a roughly $77 dentist benchmark (LocaliQ's 2025 figure; its September 2026 edition puts dentists at $61.56), at $0.51 per click and a 3.06% click-through rate. The striking number is the spend: the median practice in that study spent about $334 a month, with a typical range of $300–$1,000. Again, this is one agency's client data, not neutral research.

Which dental agencies actually publish their prices?

As of September 2026, three of the eleven on this list: Delmain (a complete line-item card), Practice Cafe (a complete à-la-carte card) and Pain-Free Dental Marketing (two named tiers). Practice Cafe also publishes a dental PPC cost per lead of $40–$50. Golden Proportions and Pain-Free publish percentage-of-collections frameworks instead of retainers. Everyone else quotes on a call. That is genuinely better than it was a year ago, when none of them did.

Do dental marketing agencies lock you into a contract?

Read past the headline. Great Dental Websites is the cleanest: "You can leave whenever you want." Practice Cafe is month-to-month on services, though its free-website offers carry a 6- or 12-month SEO term. Delmain advertises no annual contracts but requires a 6-month commitment on new SEO or paid media before going month-to-month with 30 days' notice. Pain-Free's Essentials tier is "six months to start, then month-to-month" while its CMO tier says no contracts. Golden Proportions, Wonderist, Firegang, Digital Floss, Patient NEWS and ProSites publish no terms at all.

Is a dental-only agency better than a generalist?

Usually, for a specific reason: dental-only shops already know that the money is in production, not leads, and they build attribution back to the practice-management system rather than to the phone. The tradeoff is price transparency and flexibility — the dental-only field is where "call us" pricing survived longest. If you are a single location spending under about $1,500/month, the honest answer is that a good generalist running your Google and Meta ads well will beat a dental specialist running them lightly.

Should a practice hire an agency or an in-house marketer?

A practice rarely has enough work for a senior full-time marketer, so in-house hires skew junior — and juniors cannot run ads, SEO and creative equally well. Agencies spread senior specialists across your account. In-house wins at DSO scale. We wrote out the full math. Agency vs. hiring in-house →
